Showing a marked increase of visitors, “productronica”, the most important international exhibition for electronic production held every two years in Munich, Germany, closed on Friday.  38 500 attendants during the four day exhibition signify an increase of around 34 %, when compared to the last exhibition, held in 2009.

Accordingly satisfied was the management of Ersa, Europe’s largest manufacturer of soldering systems. As exhibitor at and as co-founder of the fair, Ersa had more than one reason to celebrate: On the one hand they could celebrate the incorporation of Ersa, which was registered some 90 years ago in Berlin on the last day of the fair. On the other hand, there was its impressive appearance on the almost 300 m² large exhibition booth, displaying the new corporate image of the kurtz ersa Corporation, which was commended equally by all its customers and business partners.

In the end, though, the most substantial argument for the positive assessment of Ersa’s participation at the exhibition is the impact it will have on its future sales. In this regard, the expectations of management were considerably exceeded. Right from the opening of the exhibition, and without the usual slow startup phase, the staff manning the booth had to go directly “into overdrive”. Gratifying was not only the large number of customers and interested visitors, but also their professional qualifications. In the numerous discussions, during which many specific and detailed questions regarding the corporations equipment and process technology were asked, it became apparent, that Ersa’s products experienced a high level of acceptance by both its present and future customers. And that not only for its existing product range, but also for those products, which were new developments and as such displayed for the first time ever in Munich.

The great interest generated by the new screen- and stencil printer Ersa F1, as well as by the selective soldering system ECOSELECT 1 and the new hybrid-rework system Ersa HR 600, amply endorses Ersa’s developmental road map. With these useful and practical expansions of the product range, Ersa is able to further consolidate its reputation as a competent supplier of production equipment possessing extensive process knowledge, a supplier, who can satisfy the request of its customer for “everything from a single source”.

With this background, it was not surprising that at the exhibition many concrete projects were discussed and orders signed. Rainer Krauss, sales manager of Ersa GmbH: “This exhibition was for us extremely successful! We could even negotiate agreements for which there had been no previous contact or exchange of information, which is, in our branch of industry, a rare occurrence.

Rainer Kurtz, Managing Partner of Ersa, Chairman of the Advisory Board of “productronica” and Managing Director of the VDMA trade association Productronic, summed up: “Once again in 2011, “productronica” is the decisive platform able to assist the present economic situation to take a turn towards recovery. The exhibition is viewed by everyone as the market place of this industrial sector. Anyone who considers himself to be anyone just has to be here. The quality of the visitors is excellent – many concrete inquiries and proposal are discussed at productronica.”

For Ersa, which also took part with one of their selective soldering systems at the “VDMA Special Exhibition Battery Manufacturing”, it is a certainty, that in November 2013 in Munich, they will again participate at the “productronica”.
