Following three eventful days, Productronica India, the most important electronics industry event in India and Southeast Asia, came to an end on 16 September. The main focus of the fair, which was being held for the 18th time and dates back to 2000, was on increasing electrification in the automotive sector and “electronic systems design and manufacturing”, in brief ESDM. In close cooperation with the long-term Ersa India representative, Bergen Associates Pvt. Ltd., an attractive fair presentation was planned and implemented – with the machinery on show including the VERSAPRINT stencil printer and an energy-efficient HOTFLOW 3/14e reflow system, while the tools division presented, among other exhibits, the electronically regulated, multichannel soldering and desoldering stations, i-CON VARIO 2 and i-CON VARIO 4.
Those responsible at Ersa and Bergen Associates were delighted by the resonance from the well-informed trade fair visitors: “In general, the prevailing mood in the Indian market is positive. We were able to establish lots of new contacts and take numerous projects home with us, and even closed a deal,” said Ersa General Sales Director, Rainer Krauss, who sees India as fertile ground for the set-up of electronics manufacturing, thanks in part to the support of the Indian government.
