The SMT Hybrid Packaging came to an end for Ersa on Thursday after three very successful trade fair days and numerous constructive meetings with customers and interested parties. The Wertheim-based system supplier took unusual measures to present itself at the fair in Nuremberg: rather than transporting only a fraction of the comprehensive Ersa range to the city in Franken, they left all physical exhibits at home and yet still presented the whole product range – in digital form! “Our fair concept TIME4YOU paid off completely: as a mechanical engineering company, we arrived for the first time without machines, soldering stations or rework systems. Instead, we took time for what we at Ersa consider to be the most important thing of all: our customers, whose requirements are becoming more and more specialised all the time, and who need suitable perfectly tailor-made solutions – both customers and interested parties understood our intention and received it very well,” said the visibly satisfied Ersa General Sales Manager Rainer Kraus at the end of the SMT.

The Ersa fair booth provided the best prerequisites for intensive meetings among experts – customers and interested parties had digital access to the entire Ersa product range in all meeting zones, with the respective content only a few clicks away. This content – in the form of videos, presentations, brochures or a live video link from the Ersa application centre to the trade fair – was freely used, always accompanied by expert advice provided by Ersa employees. “This way, we were able to display the entire supply range and present it adequately – to both medium-sized companies and global players with large-scale production. At the end of the day, the concept allowed us to demonstrate on an individual basis how our products and systems can be used to increase flexibility and productivity in production. It goes without saying that our high-capacity selective soldering module VERSAFLEX and high-performance rework system HR 550 were often mentioned in this context,” Rainer Krauss added. Many of the talks at the Ersa booth resulted in concrete enquiries – back in day-to-day business the important thing now is to continue and intensify these talks, so that in the end we can supply customers with the optimum production solution for their individual needs.
