System supplier Ersa is stepping up its involvement in the fast-growing electronics manufacturing market Vietnam. The vitality evident there is reflected in the road traffic with its apparently infinite number of motor scooters – above all, though, it is evident in electronics manufacturing: The big names in the sector such as Samsung and Foxconn operate huge production facilities in this dynamic country in Southeast Asian. Vietnam’s interest in information on new technologies and the associated higher productivity in soldering engineering is enormous! For this reason, in cooperation with the local representative, RMG, Kurtz Ersa Asia organised the “Soldering Technology Convention”. The two industrial centres, Ho Chi Minh City, in the south, and the capital, Hanoi, in the north were the venues selected.

In both north and south, Kurtz Ersa Asia and RMG were able to welcome around 50 customers and potential buyers in mid-August. Among other trendsetting topics, the agenda featured Industry 4.0 and the presentation of the latest innovations such as the extremely flexible Ersa selective soldering module VERSAFLEX. Virtual machine presentations of selective soldering systems, screen printers and rework stations in the form of video clips and augmented reality devices made translation unnecessary – and met with an enormously positive reaction. Many inquiries were dealt with during the Soldering Technology Convention and specific projects set in motion. “We interpret that as a clear indication of the sustained economic dynamism in the Vietnamese market!” said Kurtz Ersa Asia COO Bernd Schenker, with obvious satisfaction, at the end of the two Soldering Conventions.
