The trade visitors to NEPCON China 2018, one of Asia’s most important trade fairs for electronics manufacturing, were very well prepared – as was the Ersa Sales and Applications Team, present with enough manpower to provide customers with detailed advice and information.

On the very first day of the fair in the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center there was a big surprise for Ersa GmbH – the worldwide leading system supplier for electronics manufacturing received the Vision Award for its HR 600 VOIDLESS rework station. It genuinely came out of the blue as no information whatsoever had leaked out in advance. In the area of soldering tools, Ersa presented further rework systems with HR 600, HR 550 and HR 200 as well as the high-performance i-CON VARIO 4 soldering and desoldering station. “The demand in the rework sector is constantly on the rise in tandem with increasing demand for large printed circuit boards. The large PCBs have a high level of complexity and are expensive to buy in – therefore the purchase of a rework system for the rectification of faults is well worthwhile,” said Ulrich Dosch, Manager Key Accounts & Business Development Kurtz Ersa Asia Ltd.

In addition to HOTFLOW 3/20 and POWERFLOW N2, the main focus in the area of machinery was primarily on the Ersa flagship in selective soldering: the VERSAFLOW 4/55. “In selective soldering, we also have a market share of over 70% in China. At the same time, the VERSAFLOW 3/45 is both the basis and the backbone of selective soldering in China,” explained Ulrich Dosch. For the first time, Ersa showed its new generation of stencil printer, the VERSAPRINT 2, at NEPCON in Shanghai, and promptly received initial orders. The youngest Ersa stencil printer is an outstanding addition to the HOTFLOW reflow soldering system. The production and delivery range in the area of HOTFLOW has been expanded in China in recent months, and now totals six different models. In the meantime, reflow soldering systems from under five metres to almost eight metres, with working widths of up to 700 mm, can be supplied – as a result, the right system is available for every area of production. “We had three fabulous days at the fair in Shanghai with numerous deep discussions with existing and potential customers – lots of input which we will convert into real projects in the follow-up. The Vision Award for the HR 600 VOIDLESS was the icing on the cake,” said the highly-satisfied Ersa General Sales Manager Rainer Krauss at the end of NEPCON China 2018.
