Electrosub in Budapest: Ersa selective soldering with the latest generation VERSAFLOW 4/55

Wertheim/Budapest, October 17, 2017

The Hungarian market has been a very successful market for the complete Ersa product portfolio for a long time. A lot of big electronic OEMs and sub-contractors have a production plant in Hungary, and the country has been experiencing constant economic growth for several years. Thus, Ersa and Microsolder Kft. – our long-standing agent in Hungary – just had to be present at the first Electrosub exhibition. This unique technology event is the only event in Hungary that unites such an extensive expert know-how transfer with a trade fair. It took place in the very special atmosphere of the Terminal 1 Airport Event Center in the Hungarian capital Budapest. Since 2012 the former Terminal 1 of the Budapest airport has been used as location for events and fairs.

Ersa Area Sales Manager Tom Berx was also one of the guest speakers on the conference and a lot of people showed interest in his lecture explaining the latest trends and developments in the selective soldering process. With new features such as the VERSAFLEX solder module or CAD Assistant 4 program editor Ersa is driving flexibility, user-friendliness and solder quality to new levels. In line with the presentation’s topic, Ersa exhibited the VERSAFLOW 4/55 – a model of the latest generation of Ersa selective soldering systems – for the first time in Hungary. This in-line soldering system meets highest demands with regard to flexibility and throughput. Due to its innovative features, the VERSAFLOW 4/55 can be used for both low mix/high volume productions but also in manufacturing environments with frequent product changes.

Another highlight on the booth was the HR 550 rework system. This system provides repeatable and stable results. It guides its user safely through the rework process. Computer-aided component alignment adds to the user-friendliness and minimization of errors. In the field of hand soldering Ersa presented the multi-channel soldering stations i-CON VARIO 4 and i-CON VARIO 2. These stations can operate up to four respectively up to two soldering tools at the same time. The station recognizes automatically which tool is currently used thanks to the motion sensor in the tool handle. “Electrosub is a promising new event in the Hungarian conference and exhibition environment. We had really good discussions and were able to strengthen ties and make new contacts. The Hungarian market will remain an important market in the future; and Ersa together with our partners from Microsolder Kft. will remain reliable partners for the country’s electronics industry,” Ersa General Sales Director Rainer Krauss summarizes three successful days at Budapest.
