CAF

Conductive anodic filament (CAFs) is the terminology for a certain type of copper migration found in the interior of a printed circuit board, for example between plated through holes or two adjacent tracks. As a result, a conductive path is established between two metallization's having different DC voltage potentials. The level of voltages, the ambient humidity and temperature influence this process.
