Hand soldering

Hand soldering is the oldest form of soldering. Heat and solder are brought to the joint to be soldered by hand. Over time, different methods to deliver the heat to where it is needed have been developed. The manual solder iron is the most well-known of these. Soldering irons are available with or without control station, with differing power und various types of tips. Manual soldering requires much skill and experience, if good and reliable solder joints are to be made.
