Hot Air Knife

Hot air knifes are used both in the wave soldering process and the tinning process. Hot air or nitrogen is exiting at high speed through a slotted nozzle. This hot, knife-type air stream blows off and removes excessive solder from the PCB's. In the wave soldering process, bridges are removed, and in the tinning process, the tin layer on the tinned surfaces are homogenized.
