Solder Fume Extractor

The fumes generated in the soft soldering process as practiced in the electronic industry are considered to be hazardous to the operators’ health. Therefore, the fumes are extracted from the equipment and disposed of through the central factory fume extraction system. At manual work stations, local extraction units with activated carbon filters are frequently provided. These can be linked to the soldering stations, so that the fume extractor only operates when the solder station is in the operating mode. The life of the filter unit can thus be greatly extended.
