Wetting length
Term stemming from the wave soldering technology. In place of a pcb, a graduated glass plate is being passed over the wave. By counting the number of lines (in the direction of the conveyor movement) covered by the wave, the wetting length can be determined. In conjunction with the conveyor speed, the wetting time can also be calculated.
