The digitization and networking of components, machines and highly complex systems lead to a significant increase in productivity under the keyword Industry 4.0. Kurtz GmbH, leading supplier of particle foam and foundry machines, offers its customers intelligent products and solutions for all relevant areas in order to enhance process reliability and increase speed and quality of service.
One example is machine monitoring, an application for real-time monitoring of relevant machine and process data. This involves recourse to machine sensors and other measuring systems that enable the current status of all production sites worldwide to be monitored from any location – and thus the reaction to current conditions in the various plants at a glance. In addition to the pure status display, for example, current key figures including deviations are visualized in comparison to predefined limit values.
The remote service continues with the aim of eliminating faults as quickly as possible, because machine downtimes are often associated with high costs. Kurtz GmbH´s Remote Service offers a safe and simple option for remote diagnosis and fast first aid – instead of getting into the car or plane, the Kurtz service technician starts a detailed troubleshooting, diagnosis and correction via the gateway. In this way, customers receive targeted real-time support in the event of malfunctions, which, in addition to diagnosis, can also lead to the malfunction being rectified.
Kurtz GmbH guarantees secure and standardized connectivity between Kurtz systems and the outside world via the Connect Gateway (Edge Device) and the Central Management System – including communication between cloud, applications and customer systems. The Edge Device processes the measurement data and information obtained and transfers it securely to the Kurtz Ersa Cloud or, optionally, directly to the customer´s systems. Intelligent solutions and functions in offline operation are also possible.
In spite of all networking, Kurtz customers are always guaranteed the highest level of security for all data. For maximum end-to-end data protection from Kurtz machines to the cloud, to customer applications or individual customer systems, common standards are used for the highest possible protection of customer data and interests; the respective customer data is strictly separated. The servers that Kurtz GmbH uses for its services meet all requirements for data redundancy, backup strategies, permanent availability of the acquired data and scalable performance of the respective structures. For the USA and China, cloud-based solutions are provided.
