Whether automotive, aviation or mechanical engineering – aluminum castings are increasingly being used in a wide variety of areas. For example in electro mobility or additive manufacturing. Accordingly, the popularity of the ALUMINIUM trade fair in Düsseldorf remained stable compared to the previous year, with over 24,000 visitors counted, and the international share even rose to 63 percent. From 9 to 11 October in Hall 10, the Aluminium World once again presented itself as the central meeting place for the industry with over 1,000 exhibitors on over 80,000 m2 – despite current trade policy disputes.

The Kurtz Foundry Machines had also sent a team to the Rhine metropolis to make valuable contacts at their own stand on the basis of videos, a graphically hybrid model and lightweight sample parts. “With the low-pressure casting technology, Kurtz Foundry Machines in the automotive sector are also excellently positioned for electro mobility. We have been proving this for years in the casting of battery and electric motor housings, large frames and structural parts, which score points with outstanding mechanical properties and weight savings of up to 50 percent,” said Lothar Hartmann, General Manager Business Untit Foundry Machines, at the end of the three days of the fair.
