Kurtz AL 28-18-18 FSC

Equipped for the future of low-pressure die casting: Kurtz develops machines that score with maximum energy efficiency and an economical casting process. Our highlight at GIFA 2019 also achieves top results.

The AL 28-18-18 FSC expands the portfolio of Kurtz Low-Pressure Casting Machines with even more clamping surface and hydraulic power. It relies on proven Kurtz Low-Pressure Casting Technology in order to achieve even greater benefits for the user with the numerous, newly optimized assemblies and components.

The aims of the new development: innovative and economical casting, lower overall height, mould quick-change system without moulds for moulds including coupling systems for mould cooling, tilting possibility of the movable clamping plate for better accessibility, e.g. during sizing, higher tearing, closing and ejection forces.

The advantages of the AL 28-18-18 FSC at a glance:

  • High clamping force of 54 t with simultaneous high opening force of 100 t
  • Innovative vacuum system for venting and core gas extraction
  • Extremely powerful hydraulics that still remain low-noise
  • Parallel movements
  • Quick-change and quick clamping system for ingot moulds
  • Large clamping surface
  • Large clear width between the columns
  • Simple tool change
  • New ejector system
  • Intelligent, energy-efficient cooling
  • 96 regulated water cooling / 96 air cooling / 96 mixing circuits
  • Multiple riser pipe system (12 riser pipes and more)
  • Maximum energy efficiency thanks to speed-controlled motor-pump drives
  • Easy maintenance
  • Intelligent machine control
