Low-pressure casting machines for plaster molds
Low-pressure casting machines for plaster molds
The use of sand cores for molds or the casting of complete sand packages is a well-known, common process. If an extremely high surface quality without any visible imperfections is required, plaster cores are used. Kurtz also has extensive experience in the production of parts in low-pressure die casting process.
Complete package for the customer
Kurtz was able to convince their customers to use low-pressure die casting process instead of gravity die casting process for their new projects. A considerable reduction of post-casting machining and re-melting of gating and risers was achieved; furthermore, low-pressure allows for optimal metal preparation in the casting furnace and for a highly-repeatable surface quality and pressure build-up. Only by utilizing the synergies provided by the Kurtz die design team and foundry machine division it is possible to provide and realize a complete package for the customer.
