Kurtz Ersa gets involved with the VDMA

14.11.2024

Showing the flag and making a contribution in difficult times

Kreuzwertheim | Especially in difficult times, it is important to take responsibility. Not only for yourself and your own company, but also for overarching tasks and issues that arise in an umbrella organization such as the VDMA. We are therefore very pleased that members of our top management are making their contribution in a leading role and thereby also achieving positive effects for Kurtz Ersa.

Carolin Kurtz, 7th generation shareholder and member of the Advisory Board, is not only Managing Director of Ph. Kurtz Eisenhammer GmbH & Co. KG, she is also Head of Controlling at the Group Holding and has been a member of the VDMA´s “Engeren Vorstand” since 2020. This is a 20-member committee that supports the VDMA Executive Board with expertise and contacts in business and politics. “My role as a member of the VDMA´s Select Committee gives me the opportunity to play an active role in shaping the VDMA´s lobbying work and to position current mechanical engineering issues in the political arena. I also find the exchange of experiences with the other members of the Executive Board enriching, which always brings added value to my own work,” says Carolin Kurtz.

Dr.-Ing. Astrid Rota, Managing Director of Additive Manufacturing, is also active in the VDMA and is on the board of the “Additive Manufacturing” trade association. This working group comprises around 200 members and strives to promote the industrial use of additive manufacturing. Lobbying in politics as well as topics such as standardization, sustainability and further training play a role here. “The working group and the trade association focus on the entire value chain of additive manufacturing, from materials to system technology and processes through to the use of additively manufactured components. With my involvement, I want to support the sustainable industrialization of additive manufacturing, find new collaborations and promote the exchange of experience at a technical level,” adds Astrid Rota.

Dr.-Ing. Michael Fischer, Managing Director of Ersa GmbH, was confirmed as a member of the Executive Board of the Productronics department on 11.11.2024. The work in this committee includes, for example, the consolidation of regional production and research & development in international competition and focuses on competitive environmental technologies. “For me, the exchange between industry members and the strengthening of industry interests are at the forefront of my work on the Board. I see positive effects for Kurtz Ersa, as we are also committed to business-friendly conditions in international competition,” says Michael Fischer.

Andrea Carta, Managing Director of Kurtz GmbH & Co. KG, is also involved in the VDMA. He is an active member of the “Plastics & Rubber Machinery” and “Metallurgy” trade associations. “Stimuli in both directions are a priority for me,” says Andrea Carta. “The lively exchange of technological developments and political lobbying are the main areas of interest in my work at the VDMA.”
