Wertheim | As of 01.04.2021, Dr. Michael Wenzel will take over the management of Kurtz Ersa Automation GmbH. Dr. Wenzel received his doctorate in physics from the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg in 1992. During his career, which now spans 30 years, the man from Lower Franconia has served as managing director, senior vice president, consultant and interim manager of well-known companies in the fields of mechanical and plant engineering as well as automation. From 2003 to 2018, Dr. Michael Wenzel was also a member of the “Robotics & Automation” board within the German Engineering Federation (VDMA). During this time, he held offices such as Chairman of the Robotics Department and Chairman of the Robotics & Automation Association.
Dr. Michael Wenzel has already been working for the Kurtz Ersa Group for six months. Initially as a member of the advisory board and in an advisory capacity for the Kurtz Ersa Automation division. Dr. Wenzel is an expert for successful development in technology companies and an accomplished executive for technical areas such as development, production, sales, purchasing and service. The main task of the new managing director will be the development and growth of the Kurtz Ersa Automation business unit.
