Kreuzwertheim/Sonnenbühl | After 33 years with the company, 22 of them as Managing Director of SCHILLER AUTOMATION GmbH & Co. KG, Stefan Schiller hands over the baton to Kurtz Ersa. The son of the company´s founder is gradually resigning from his duties and will be taking his well-deserved retirement in the summer.

Yesterday, the last meeting of the Kurtz Ersa steering committee for him took place in Sonnenbühl. Ralph Knecht and Thomas Mühleck, CEO and CFO of the Kurtz Ersa corporation, traveled to the company site to thank him for the good cooperation and achievements. The laudation was held by Dr. Michael Wenzel, who is the chairman of the management board and will continue to lead the company with the Managing Directors Hans-Peter Hennig and Martin Speidel. Under the leadership of Stefan Schiller, SCHILLER AUTOMATION developed into an outstanding company and leading niche provider of automation solutions for the automotive and electronics industries and was able to win major customers such as Bosch. After the company was acquired by the Kurtz Ersa corporation, he successfully managed and implemented the integration process. Stefan Schiller has aligned SCHILLER AUTOMATION for the future and set an important course so that the company, together with Kurtz Ersa, can offer excellently tailored automation solutions, especially for electronics manufacturing and medical technology.

"The integration of SCHILLER AUTOMATION into the Kurtz Ersa corparation has worked very well. Our company is now optimally positioned due to the group affiliation. With the decision to sell to Kurtz Ersa, we have laid the foundation for further growth," comments Stefan Schiller. The merging of the two corporate cultures is proceeding positively. Customers appreciate the high technology standard, quality, and delivery performance of SCHILLER AUTOMATION. The company has become an important pillar of the Kurtz Ersa corporation, contributes its strengths, and rounds off the group portfolio in a meaningful way. Kurtz Ersa, for its part, is establishing new technologies at SCHILLER AUTOMATION, these further develop the company´s competencies, open access to new markets and the best growth prospects for the future.

SCHILLER AUTOMATION was founded in 1978 and is today one of the leading suppliers of integrated automation, process, and system solutions. The company focuses on assembly lines for the automotive industry and medical technology. In 1994, the company began developing automation systems for LCD production and a production line for smart card modules. This marked the company´s entry into electronics manufacturing, and the existing product range was successfully expanded. Only five years later, an improved, flexible, and modular assembly concept for electronics and microelectronics assembly was presented. The entire Kurtz Ersa corporation would like to express its sincere thanks for the great commitment and extraordinary dedication of Managing Director Stefan Schiller over many decades.
