With Infinergy®, BASF SE offers the world´s first expanded TPU (E-TPU). This innovative material is elastic like rubber, but resiliently light. It combines the properties of TPU with the advantages of foams and is characterized by low density, high elasticity and outstanding resilience. With the Kurtz ENERGY FOAMER moulding machine, Kurtz is the first and only machine manufacturer to provide a process sequence for E-TPU that has been tested and optimized in series production. Special filling technologies and vaporization variants enable reliable production despite the very narrow processing window.

ENERGY FOAMER in use at global player

The Kurtz ENERGY FOAMER machine technology is already being used successfully on a large scale in a special customer application. Revolutionary end products of a global player are produced on the Kurtz machines for the complete world market. Here, in close cooperation with the customer and the Infinergy manufacturer BASF SE, it has been possible to decisively optimize productivity and energy efficiency. This is another example of the successful implementation of the "Blue Competence" challenges at Kurtz.

POLY FOAMER: Safe stuff - product packaging for white goods, electrical appliances and furniture is manufactured on the Kurtz machines so that they arrive undamaged at the place of installation and can be set up directly.
